Tested by legendary big wave surfer and all round waterman Laird Hamilton, the Waterman Apex is a highly technical dive watch incorporating an automatic helium escape valve and crown protector, as well as boasting a 42-hour power reserve with GMT and date functionality. Turning the watch over reveals its open sapphire case back through which the custom rotor can be seen, designed to reprise the dial with the shark fin motif in blue. Despite having an open case back, the Waterman Apex is water resistant to 500m with the movement being protected by Bremont’s patented anti-shock vibration mount technology. True to form, this is a watch that can be tested to extremes.
